Ucuuba Butter (Virola surinamensis, Myristicaceae)
Wild harvested grown naturally in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest. It is a natural butter cold pressed from the seeds of the Ucuuba tree.
Colour is light brown with golden specks and it has a sweet beeswax smell. It has a very high melting point 127.4 °F.
Common Uses:
It is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids and can be used to replenish, tone, and moisturize dry and mature skin.
Benefits:
It is said to have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties which makes it ideal for acne, eczema and dry or irritated skin. The anti-aging properties is an excellent ingredient in creams, lotions, and body butters.
